Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:tf2

Source Engine Changes
  • The mat_hdr_level, r_rootlod, and r_waterforceexpensive settings are now saved in the user’s config file.
  • Fixed clients being able to connect to servers with spoofed SteamIDs.
  • Fixed a bug where some video configurations could get reset by restarting the engine.
  • Fixed materials compiled into a map not being loaded correctly if they're in the root materials folder.
  • Fixed a case of uneven performance on multicore machines.
  • Fixed point contents not respecting detail brushes. This fixes a bullet penetration bug in some community maps.
  • Fixed clients being able to spam servers using the ai_set_move_height_epsilon, mission_show, and sv_querycache_stats commands.
  • Audio fixes:
    • Reduced overlap in the sound timing code.
    • Fixed a case where audio could skip.
    • Fixed voice communication getting corrupted while playing on a Mac.
  • sv_pure 2 now protects the game_sounds files in the scripts directory.
Team Fortress 2
  • Added server ConVar "sv_max_usercmd_future_ticks" which prevents clients from running usercmds too far in the future.
  • Added missing Mac intro movie for cp_coldfront.
  • Fixed "Hit '%disguiseteam%' to Toggle Team" string and code so they're not hard coded to 'e' and '-'.
  • Fixed servers trying to validate backpack positions in inventories.
  • Fixed clients validating inventories other than their own.
  • Fixed item selection HUD elements showing un-acknowledged items, which resulted in items in invalid backpack positions.
  • Fixed players not always getting "recent damager" credit for player suicides.
  • Fixed the weapon selection menu not displaying properly when using hud_fastswitch and lastinv at the same time.
  • Updated Engineer startup music.
  • Updated localization files.
  • Updated Pl_ThunderMountain
    • Clipped off sticky outcrops for smoother movement
    • Clipped various exploit ledges
    • Increased environment ambient exterior light level
    • Stage 1
      • Fixed hole in respawn room brushes in RED spawn
      • Shifted respawn times to favor BLU by two seconds
    • Stage 3
      • Clipped rocks off by BLU's spawn exit that leads to building B (allowed Snipers to snipe the entire area)
      • Removed embedded displacement (building B interior roof)
      • Removed rogue clip brush from building A balcony
  • Updated Plr_Hightower
    • Fixed players building in the RED spawn room.
    • Fixed players building on the back window decks of the barns.
    • Fixed players getting on the satellite dish platform.
    • Fixed players building on the elevators.
    • Reduced the ammo packs in the barns down to small ammo packs.
    • Increased the hill speed modifier to 1.2 (up from .95)
    • Fixed explosion particle effects playing in the skybox.
    • Mine cart "window" collision fixed.
    • Upped Scout-loop health to large.
  • Updated Pl_Upward
    • Fixed respawnroom entities not reaching the floor of split-level spawns
    • Fixed griefable fence facing BLU spawn near RED base
    • Added BLU high flanking route at RED base
    • Added health & ammo along BLU flanking route at RED base
    • Sealed BLU base left exit with block bullets brushes
    • Extended clip between C and BLU spawn to prevent sticky jump spawn camping
    • Fixed non-clipped non-solid railing in RED base
    • Fixed kill brush in middle spawn not extending to the ceiling
    • Put a block bullets brush on grate below middle spawn
    • Fixed some high micro-ledges accessible to sticky-jumpers
  • Community Request
    • Added "item_pickup" game event for ammo/health packs.

tf2An optional update for Team Fortress 2 is now available.  Here are the specific changes:

Server Browser:
- Fixed the server browser not saving filter settings properly.

Team Fortress 2:
- Fixed a speed exploit related to benchmarks.
- Fixed Parasite hat not being posed correctly on class loadout panels.
- Fixed a level change crash.

Engine
  • Increased the resilience of client/server data table mismatches when playing back demos. This will make most old demo files playable again, but with potential visual side effects

Team Fortress 2
  • Updated CP_Coldfront
    • Added map to the default mapcycle and motd files.
    • Fixed a server crash issue related to increased maxplayer servers.
    • Fixed a couple Engineer building exploits.
  • Updated the localization files.
  • Improved the performance of the critboost particle effect.
  • Fixed a server crash related to carrying buildings at round start.
  • Fixed players picking up buildings before a round has started.
  • Fixed an exploit where Engineers could create level 3 mini-sentries.

Team Fortress 2
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed Engineers to build level 2/3 mini sentries.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed sapped buildings to be picked up by the Engineer
  • Fixed a bug where Wrangled level 3 sentryguns would still fire rockets when they were out of ammo.
  • Fixed a bug where players would go into reference poses when switching classes while carrying a building.
  • Fixed seeing the changeclass label in the spectator HUD when using cl_hud_minmode.
  • The amount of revenge crits a player can have at one time is now capped at 35.
  • The Wrangler no longer shows the shotgun's ammo count.
  • Engineers can no longer pick up buildings while stunned or in loser state.
  • Fixed Engineer shotgun and piston not using team skins for the Engineer's arms.
  • Fixed an issue where Wrangled sentrygun effects wouldn't be attached to the sentrygun.
  • The Gunslinger 3 hit combo now only increments the combo count when hitting enemy players.
  • Fixed a crash in the control point progress bar.
  • Fixed a server crash in the player death code, related to building carrying.
  • Fixing performance spikes that occur at round start, and after each point capture, when TFBots are present in the server.
  • Achievement fixes:
    • The "Rio Grind" achievement limit is now correctly set to 50.
    • Fixed a typo in Six-String Stinger achievement name.
    • Fixed a bug in the "Death Metal" achievement that caused it to rapidly complete itself.
    • Fixed getting the Six-String Stinger achievement without playing the guitar.
    • Fixed sentrygun detection code in "Best Little Slaughterhouse in Texas" and "Deputized".
  • Missed notes from yesterday's release:
    • New response rules and sounds added for some classes

gameme_logoOnce again, I ended up moving our stats system. This time however, the stats system has been outsourced by GameMe (used to be HlStatsX). The prices of HLStatsX used to be so rediculous for the amount of servers we have that it WAS more efficient to simply buy a dedicated server for stats. This issue with this however is updating the stats system and maintaining it. The less I have to worry about server side things the more I can focus on fun things like contests and keeping the site up to date.

That said, thank you for your patience and I hope you like the new system (isn't a whole lot different). To view simply click player stats, if you have have issues, you may need to issue an ipconfig /flushdns via the command prompt.
