2010 Melee Winner!

After 5 grueling rounds of getting nailed by trains, punched in the face with fists, saws, bats and every other melee weapon, Surefire came out on top beating Devious, Okas, and Kaori. Of course, to the winner goes the spoils as he'll win any steam game of his choice from 5E and a new mousepad from Xtrac Pads. Devious, Okas and Kaori will also be getting a new mousepad!   Thank you to our sponsors and to the players who were able to make it this year. We had some minor issues but we worked through them. :-)

TF2 - US vs CA Details - July 11th

Postby ignitor » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:18 pm

When: Saturday July 11th @ 2:30 PM CST

Team Leaders:
US - Bootleg - CLOSED
CA - Skurge- CLOSED

TF2 Tournament Rules
* Game types;
o Arena - ARENA_GRANARY Most Arena wins in 30 minutes. Last team member standing wins. In the event that players hide the win will be awarded to the team with the most players left alive
o CTF - ctf_2fort_night - Win is defined as a team with the most round wins or captures in a round.
o Payload Race - plr_pipeline. The winning team will be the team who wins the most stages.

In the event of a stalemate the team with the most players alive wins.

* Re-spawn rate
o Normal re-spawn times will force better team communication.

* Player Rules
o Players will be from either Canada or the US. International players who wish to participate may join either team (pending the sizes are even).
o Players must add the assigned avatar to their profiles (one avatar for CA and one for the US).
o Player count will depend on how many sign up. If one team has more players than another team they must reduce their count for that map. Max registrations per team is 45 players. In the event we have full teams this will give every player at least one chance to play minus the team leader who will play in each game-type. (16[max team size]x3[game types)-3[rounds the captain will play=45.
o Absolutely NO negative remarks towards the players and countries that are involved (light razzing is expecting). Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Remember this contest is for fun and the second you lose your cool you lose the privilege to join 5E servers (aka I will bring out the ban-hammer regardless if you are an admin or not..)

* Timelimit
o Timelimit will be 30 minutes per map.

* Server IP:
o 205.234.159.84:27016 5EGC.com|500FPS|HLSTATSX
o 205.234.159.84:27021 5EGC.com|TV

* Date
o July 11th @ 2:30PM CST

* Class Limits (Admin immunity will be disabled)
o All Gametypes
1 ENGI
3 Demomen
3 Heavies
2 Medics
3 Pyros
3 Scouts
2 Snipers
3 Soldiers
3 Spies
Explanation: 1 Engineer will be allowed to help prevent teams from turtling in their base. 2 Snipers will be allowed to keep the contest from becoming a sniperfest. Having a limited amount of medics will force teamwork and hopefully make the medic's more 'valuable' (Protect your medics!). The limit of the rest of the classes will force team leads to come up with the best combination to take down the opposite team.

* Requirements
o Must be registered with website
o Cannot have a rank of 5E no0b to participate (More than 10 posts).
o Must register in designated forum by July 5th (Gives leaders time to organize their Team).
Must wear assigned avatar!

i'm so torn... what good is a MegaGoat if each side only has a 1/2 of it?

as such, i will be not be playing for US or CA.
